Author Fawn Brokaw Doyle

Hello,
I'm Fawn

A bit about me...

My name is Fawn Brokaw Doyle. I have a background in journalism and writing, with a BFA in Industrial Design from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Currently, I'm a flatware designer and toddler mom. I enjoy reading about history, traveling, visiting state parks, and learning about herbalism and mycology. I like to acquire craft skills—I crochet, felt, metalsmith, and make mozzarella from scratch—just not all at the same time.

At the end of most days, I write and research. I'm like a dog with a bone when it comes to history and genealogy. I can't help but look for the short, intriguing side notes that inspire and deserve a fully rendered story arc.

Historical fiction is my favorite genre because it's transportive. It's the closest thing we have to time travel. My favorite authors include Lauren Groff, Amy Harmon, Maggie O'Ferrell, Diana Gabaldon, and Sara Donati.
